Missing woman found dead: identification process begins

The Gostivar Prosecutor’s Office has announced that yesterday the lifeless body of a woman was found in the village of Negotinë, near Gostivar. The woman had previously been reported missing.

The body, which has not yet been identified, was found buried in a pit and is suspected to belong to a woman who may have been illegally deprived of her freedom.

Investigative authorities carried out several procedural actions at the scene.

The public prosecutor, who conducted an on-site examination during the night, ordered an autopsy and the initiation of identification procedures for the victim. Evidence and traces were also collected from the scene in order to secure further proof and fully clarify the circumstances of the case.
