A joint operation between Greek and Albanian police led to the arrest of 9 individuals and the declaration of 3 others as wanted, all part of a criminal group that stole clothes from shops in Athens and sold them in a store in Tirana.

The group was led by 54-year-old Oliota Lama and included members of her family. The perpetrators carried out more than one theft per day, choosing shops without security systems or using special devices to remove anti-theft tags.

The stolen clothes were transported by bus to Tirana, where they were sold through the group’s shop and also via posts on TikTok.

During the operation, authorities seized more than 71,000 euros, a large quantity of stolen clothing, electronic devices, anti-theft magnets, and tools used to remove security tags.

The Athens Crime Investigation Department uncovered 14 distinct thefts from several stores.

The individuals arrested in Greece are Oliota Lama, Sami Lama, Leonard Lama, Vangjeli Mesi, Elidon Kamberi, Bledar Ademi, Edmond Sava, and Iliana Sava.

Those arrested in Albania include 49-year-old Estela Kapo. Meanwhile, Ervin Lama, Enerik Kapo, and Emiliana Ademi remain wanted.

Police continue investigations to locate the wanted individuals and fully uncover the criminal group’s activities.
