Archbishop of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania, Joani, has delivered his Easter message to the faithful, emphasizing the importance of peace and the strength of faith in a turbulent time for the world.

In his address, he recalls Christ’s first greeting after the Resurrection, “Peace be with you,” describing it as an enduring call that remains relevant even today, in a reality marked by conflict, uncertainty, and anxiety about the future.

According to the Archbishop, true peace does not depend on external circumstances, but arises from within the individual and their relationship with God. He stresses that forgiveness and love are the key to breaking the cycle of hatred and building a calmer and more just society.

In his message, Joani also անդրlines the challenges of modern society, where the pursuit of material goods often fails to bring spiritual peace, instead leaving a sense of emptiness and insecurity. According to him, the solution lies in returning to faith and enduring spiritual values.

He also recalls the difficult history of the Orthodox Church in Albania, which, despite many challenges, has managed to rise again, linking this to the message of hope and new life brought by the Resurrection.

In conclusion, the Archbishop calls for more peace, understanding, and solidarity, inviting believers to reflect this spirit in their daily lives and in their relationships with one another.
