Qualifications nearing the end, the list of teams going to the 2026 World Cup

The qualification process for the 2026 World Cup is approaching its final phase, and so far 30 national teams have officially secured their participation in the tournament that will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The three host nations were the first to confirm their qualification, while the remaining teams have come from all confederations.


From Asia, Japan, New Zealand, Iran, South Korea, Jordan, Australia, Qatar, and Uzbekistan considered one of the surprises of this edition have secured their spots. In South America, the process has been highly competitive, but traditional powerhouses such as Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia, Paraguay, and Ecuador have successfully completed their qualifying campaigns.


Africa also has a long list of teams that will participate in the World Cup: Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, Ghana, Cape Verde, South Africa, Ivory Coast, and Senegal. From Europe, meanwhile, three of the continent’s strongest teams England, France, and Croatia have confirmed their participation.
