Meteorologist Lajda Porja gave the weather forecast, stating that our country will experience occasional rain showers.

According to her, in addition to rain, there will also be snow, mainly in the Kukës and Korçë regions. She also emphasized that January will end unsettled, with clouds and precipitation, and that February will also begin unsettled, with some rain, although it will be light.

“The rain has been intermittent, and during the afternoon the weather is expected to be cloudier, with moments of light rain. Tomorrow, clouds will be more widespread, bringing a stronger weather system to the country. It will start in the northwestern areas and gradually cover the entire territory by the second half of Wednesday and overnight, including Thursday morning. The rain will come in the form of showers, mainly across the western lowlands. Tomorrow night, we also expect snow, especially in the Kukës and Korçë regions. Tomorrow will also see strong sea storms, with high winds affecting maritime traffic, particularly in the Vlorë region where the winds will be strongest.

On Thursday, rain will be present in the morning, while in the second half of the day, its intensity will decrease. So, from Wednesday midday to Thursday midday, there will be rain of moderate intensity, including some heavy showers. The rain will not be problematic, as temperatures will remain relatively high. January will end unsettled, with clouds and rain, and February will start similarly, with occasional rain.

In the region, except for Wednesday, which will bring snow and temperatures around -2°C, the rain on other days will be isolated. A significant concern for Kosovo and North Macedonia will be ice on the roads. Regarding precipitation from Thursday to Friday, it will be light, while on Wednesday, in addition to snow, there will also be strong winds,” the meteorologist explained.
