A citizen has reported a concerning case which, according to him, is not isolated but a phenomenon that frequently occurs in shops in rural areas.

The incident was recorded in the area of Rrashbull, where a citizen says he bought several food products that had been expired for months.

According to the report, the citizen purchased a bag of chips and a drink, but after checking the expiration date he noticed that both products had expired about two months earlier.

The problem does not end there. When he asked the seller for the fiscal receipt for the purchase, he was told that the business did not have any equipment to issue receipts.

According to citizens, such cases are frequent in many small shops in villages, where fiscal receipts are often not issued and control over food products appears to be weak.

This situation increases the risk that consumers may be sold expired products or products that are unsafe for health.

The citizen is calling on the responsible institutions to carry out more frequent inspections of these businesses in order to prevent the sale of expired products and ensure that the obligation to issue fiscal receipts is respected.

Meanwhile, the case also serves as a warning for consumers to always check the expiration date of the products they buy and to request a fiscal receipt for every purchase.
