The first three days of the week will be dominated by clear weather and very high temperatures, while a slight drop is expected from Tuesday.

Albania will face a strong heatwave during the weekend and the beginning of next week, as a result of warm air masses moving from Western Europe toward the Balkans.

According to meteorologist Lajda Porja, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday will be the hottest days, with temperatures in some areas reaching 40°C. The highest values are expected in Shkodër, Koplik, Berat, Ura Vajgurore, Cërrik, Belsh, Elbasan, and even Gjirokastër may reach this level.

In most of the western lowlands, temperatures will range between 38°C and 39°C, while along the coast they are expected to reach 36°C to 37°C. Mountain areas will also experience unusually high temperatures, with Dibra reaching 32–33°C and Kukës around 34°C. The Korçë region will remain the coolest area.

No rainfall is expected during these days. A gradual increase in humidity, especially on Sunday and Monday, will make the heat feel even more intense.

A slight drop in temperatures is expected on Tuesday, when the thermometer will reach around 37–38°C in the hottest areas of the country. Weather conditions are also expected to become somewhat more favorable in midweek, although temperatures will remain typical for the season.

The meteorologist warns that July will continue with high temperatures, as hot African air masses are expected to frequently affect the region. According to her, mid-month may bring days with even higher temperatures than those recorded at the end of June.

She also notes that summer has begun with above-average temperatures and new records in several European countries, while in Albania values of 40–41°C are usually recorded in July or early August.
