A horrifying event has shaken public opinion in the United States, where three young sisters were found dead, allegedly murdered by their father, Travis Decker.

The bodies of the girls, Paityn (9), Evelyn (8), and Olivia (5) were discovered in a remote camping area near an abandoned truck in Wenatchee, a rural town in the state of Washington. The children were found with plastic bags over their heads and their hands tied, indicating that they likely died from asphyxiation.

Their father, 32-year-old Decker, is currently wanted by authorities and faces charges of triple homicide and kidnapping. He had taken the girls on May 30 from the home of his ex-wife, Whitney Decker, under the pretense of a routine visit. When he failed to return them, the mother alerted police.

A $20,000 reward has been offered for information leading to Decker’s capture. It is reported that he previously served in the U.S. military and, according to his ex-wife, suffered from serious mental health issues for which he was not receiving adequate treatment.

Whitney Decker had filed for divorce in 2024, citing her husband’s unstable mental state as a major reason.

Investigations into the case are ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information that may assist in Decker’s apprehension to come forward.

This tragedy has reignited public debate over mental health support, child safety, and the importance of early intervention in domestic situations.
