A 37-year-old man has been injured by gunfire in Berat. The incident occurred shortly after midnight, at around 00:55, when the victim arrived at the hospital with wounds.

Police report that the circumstances remain unclear, and the injured man has been identified by the initials F. T. (Xh).

Preliminary information indicates that he is not in life-threatening condition.

Official police statement:

At around 00:55, citizen F. T. (Xh.), 37 years old, a resident of Berat, was brought to the hospital for medical assistance, injured by a firearm under still unclear circumstances, at the entrance of the city.

The 37-year-old is reported to be in stable condition and out of danger.

A investigative team has immediately been set up and, under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, intensive work continues to clarify the circumstances, secure evidence, and legally document the case, as well as identify and apprehend the perpetrator(s).
