Six administrators of Maliq Municipality resign

Six administrators of Maliq Municipality have also resigned.

Sources close to the local government institution report that the administrators of the administrative units Libonik, Pirg, Vreshtas, Lozhan, Pojan, and Moglicë have submitted their resignations to the mayor, Gezim Topçiu. When contacted by phone, the mayor stated that the same procedure will soon apply to the municipality’s deputy mayors.

These resignations follow a request made a few days ago by Prime Minister Edi Rama, addressed to directors across the Republic of Albania.

It is worth recalling that resignations of municipal directors began initially in Vlora and have since spread to other local units.

Recently, the Territorial Protection Inspectorate launched an operation to demolish unauthorized constructions, an action that revealed long-standing issues in this area.
