Leonardo Maloku is the latest name to have joined Skënderbeu as part of the incoming transfer window. The former captain of the Albania U-21 national team, who plays as a right-back, has been training with the Korçë-based team for several days and is expected to be at Ernest Gjoka’s disposal starting from the next match against Besa of Kavajë.

The 27-year-old was present in the stands of the “Skënderbeu” stadium, where together with Antonio Delaj, on loan from Elbasani, he closely followed the match against Luftëtari, which ended in a 1–1 draw.

Skënderbeu are moving actively in the transfer market, and the arrival of Maloku comes after that of Delaj, confirming the club’s intention to strengthen its departments for the continuation of the championship.

The defender is a product of Pescara’s academy and during his career has been part of several teams in Italian football, as well as having played in Spain with San Roque Lepe. Most recently, he was part of T Val Pescara.

Maloku has made 21 appearances for Albania’s U-21 national team, in many cases also wearing the captain’s armband, bringing experience and reliability to Skënderbeu’s defensive line.
