The Kakavija border crossing will be blocked for several hours due to the strike of Greek farmers.

Kakavija Border Police has been informed by the Greek Border Police that today, from 15:00 to 20:00, the Kakavija–Ioannina road axis, in the village of Kallpaq, will be blocked due to the protest that farmers will hold.

According to the information, only vehicles with medical emergencies will be allowed to pass.

“Kakavija Border Police asks for citizens’ understanding and suggests planning vehicle travel at other times of the day,” the announcement states.

For three days, Greece has been holding protests, blocking major roads. A day earlier, during the rally, farmers clashed physically with the police.

Meanwhile, according to Greek media, the farmers have announced that their protest will continue with the blocking of ports.
