The daughter of the famous poet Lasgush Poradeci, Maria, has strongly criticized the justice system, denouncing what she calls “32 years of suffering, court cases, and corruption” over a family property in Pogradec.

In a social media post, she expressed frustration at not being able to obtain her rightful claim and asked: “How am I supposed to handle this?”

The property issue has been one of the hottest topics recently, especially following the murder of Judge Astrit Kalaja in the courtroom at the Court of Appeal.

Maria described her ordeal:

“For a piece of land intended for the construction of ‘1 Maji’ in Pogradec, located 3 meters from a local business (it’s a garden for the venue), with documents dating back to the Zog era, and after winning court cases in three instances for the preemption rights of the dance floor located on this land, and after winning court cases in three instances for an invalid contract…

I have spent 32 years in court offices and still cannot find justice because money has blocked it. I continue to see the ‘owner’ of the venue run the business, and with the money I earn from my property, I pay every state official. State corruption continues… Thirty-two years — a lifetime. How am I supposed to handle this?!” she wrote on Facebook.
