On February 20, 1991, the city of Korça witnessed a historic event that marked a great step on the road to freedom and democracy. The Democrats of Korça, with their courage and determination, set a powerful example not only in toppling the statue but also in overthrowing a regime.

Honor to the Democrats of Korça who took to the square on that February 20th, 1991. Eternal honor to all those men and women, boys and girls, who wrote with their blood, sacrifices, and bravery the brightest chapter in the book of freedom and dignity for all Albanians!

Today, we must be aware that our duty is to once again overthrow the dictatorship of Edi Rama! February 20th is our pride! It is our turn! It is the turn of the Democrats!”
