The Old Bazaar of Korçë returns to its original identity as businesses voluntarily remove additional structures

This morning finds the Old Bazaar of Korçë free from all additional construction elements, following a conscious initiative by the owners of the establishments operating in this over-250-year-old historic area.

The metal enclosures and other extensions erected over the years have been completely removed, restoring the buildings and the surrounding environment to the architectural uniformity that characterizes this unique space in the southeast of the country.

This action, undertaken without the intervention of inspection forces, reflects the commitment of local businesses to preserving the identity and authenticity of the Old Bazaar, one of Korçë’s most visited cultural and tourist destinations.
