The truck driver in Korçë has his license suspended for 4 months and receives a hefty fine. Here’s what he did wrong

Police in Korçë have taken measures and fined a truck driver who carried out an improper overtaking maneuver on a section with limited visibility, on the “Pogradec–Qafë Thanë” road.

Police announced that they identified the driver, whose driving license was also suspended for 4 months. Among the other measures, the driver also had 10 points deducted from his driving license. Regarding the administrative measure, it is learned that he was fined 16,000 lekë.

“Response from the Korçë Local Police Directorate. Regarding a video posted on social media, in which a truck is seen making an improper overtaking maneuver on a section with limited visibility, on the “Pogradec–Qafë Thanë” road, we inform you that the Road Police services, as a result of the investigative and procedural actions carried out, identified the truck driver, citizen S. Xh., who, based on point 10 of Article 141 and point 16 of Article 146 of the Road Traffic Code, was subject to administrative measures: a fine of 16,000 lekë, suspension of his driving license for 4 months, and deduction of 10 points from his driving license.

The Korçë Local Police Directorate thanks and invites citizens and the media to report to 112 every case of violation of road traffic rules, and assures them that the response will be immediate and in accordance with the law,” the statement said.
