This is Drenovë prison officer Krenar Çekiçi, who lost his life in the serious accident in Korçë

The person in the photo is Krenar Çekiçi, 45, who lost his life following a serious road accident on Wednesday midday on the Korçë–Maliq route. He was severely injured in a violent collision between two vehicles near the village of Lumalas and was urgently transported to Korçë Hospital.

Despite doctors’ efforts to save him, the 45-year-old succumbed to his injuries and passed away a few hours after the accident. Reports indicate that a third vehicle was also involved in the crash but only suffered minor material damage.

The victim worked as a prison police officer at IEVP Drenovë, while traffic police continue their investigation to fully determine the circumstances and cause of the accident.
