UEFA U-21 European Championship 2027 / Emanuela Rusta & the Albanian refereeing team officiate the Spain – San Marino match

Albanian referee Emanuela Rusta has been appointed by UEFA to officiate the Spain U-21 – San Marino U-21 match, part of the qualifiers for the European Championship “Albania – Serbia 2027.”

This is the first time UEFA has entrusted an Albanian female referee with leading a men’s U-21 match, marking a historic moment for Albanian refereeing and for Emanuela Rusta herself.

The match will take place at the “Angel Carro” Stadium in Spain on November 14 at 20:45, with the entire refereeing team being Albanian. Ilir Tartaraj and Xhulio Mani will serve as the second and third assistants, while Andi Koçi will act as the fourth official.

Albanian referees are becoming increasingly present in European matches, and this represents another important step in promoting Albanian refereeing on the international stage.
