Turkish authorities are on high alert following the mysterious disappearance of prominent Turkish businessman Halit Yukay, 43, founder of Mazu Yachts, who has been missing since Saturday evening.

Yukay departed Turkey aboard his luxury yacht Graywolf, headed for the Greek island of Mykonos. However, all contact with him was lost shortly after departure. The Turkish coast guard later found the yacht heavily damaged and half-sunken near the island of Prokonnisos in the Sea of Marmara.

His family raised the alarm, prompting an intensive search operation involving professional divers, maritime vessels, and helicopters. So far, no trace of the businessman has been found.

Halit Yukay began his career working in shipyards and went on to establish Mazu Yachts in 2011 – a company renowned for its high-end yachts and innovative construction technologies.

Investigations and search efforts are continuing with cooperation between Turkish and Greek authorities.
