“Windstorms, heavy showers and snowfall,” the meteorologist’s warning

Meteorologist Tanja Porja said that today is expected to be rainy, with precipitation increasing and intensifying after midday and during the night, with downpours across almost the entire Albanian territory. Snowfall is also expected in mountainous areas, becoming more visible in the afternoon and at night.

“Today will start with light rain in the morning, more rain around noon, heavy rain in the evening, and downpours tonight, during the night, and partially tomorrow.

Precipitation will increase and intensify after midday, mainly in the evening and at night.

Downpours are expected almost throughout the night across Albania and for most of Tuesday.

Regarding temperatures, this morning the minimum is 1 degree Celsius and the maximum 16 degrees. Showers will return tonight, and there will also be snowfall, becoming more noticeable late afternoon, in the evening, and during the night.

Snow will appear at elevations as low as 100 meters below sea level. After midday, strong winds are expected, which could cause problems in maritime areas and along the coastline,” Porja said.
