WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL / Here’s When the First Final Between Skënderbeu and Tirana Will Be Played!

Skënderbeu vs. Tirana is the big final of this season in women's volleyball, and now only a few days remain until the first match begins. According to the official page of the Albanian Volleyball Federation, the opening game of the final series is now confirmed: it will take place next Wednesday, April 23, starting at 17:00.

This first match will be played in the southeastern city, specifically at the “Tamara Nikolla” Sports Palace.

It is already known that the final will be played in a best-of-five format, and the team that wins three matches will be crowned champion. Skënderbeu, which finished first in the national championship, has the home-court advantage — playing three of the five matches in Korça, while the remaining two will take place in Tirana.

If Skënderbeu wins the first three matches, there will be no need for the remaining games — but this final promises to be exciting and spectacular. Skënderbeu comes into the final as the reigning champion, while Tirana will be aiming to dethrone the southeastern powerhouse.

Just a few days ago, the red-and-whites of the net eliminated Pogradeci in the semifinals, needing a third and decisive match that ended 3–2 to book their ticket to the final.

Now, it’s time for the ultimate battle for the title. All eyes in the southeast are eagerly awaiting Wednesday, April 23, at 17:00, when the Sports Palace is expected to be packed for what is sure to be a thrilling final.
