12 years without Minella Borova (1947–2013)

Today we remember with respect and longing the passing of the distinguished actor Minella Borova, who left this world 12 years ago at the age of 66, after a serious illness.
During his career, he performed around 50 theatrical roles on Albanian stages, among which stand out the plays:
“Njollat e murme” (The Brown Stains)
“Qyteti i akuzuar” (The Accused City)
“Mësuesi i letërsisë” (The Literature Teacher)
In cinema, he left his mark with over 30 roles, becoming part of well-known films such as:
“Rrugë të bardha” (White Roads) – as Bato
“Në fillim të verës” (At the Beginning of Summer) – as Fumagali
“Udhëtim në pranverë” (Journey in Spring) – as Besniku
“I paharruari” (The Unforgettable) – as Nesti
“I treti” (The Third) – as Isai...and many others.
In 1993, Borova emigrated to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he lived with his family until the end of his life. There, he also performed at the renowned San Martin Theatre, proudly representing Albanian art on international stages.
He was also a poet. His first poetry collection is titled “Where Two Oceans Meet.”
His contribution to theatre, film, and literature constitutes a valuable legacy for Albanian culture.
