Albanian Cup 2025–2026 / Skënderbeu eliminated. The eight quarterfinalist teams are determined, pots set for the draw

The Round of 16 matches of the 2025–2026 Albanian Cup have concluded, determining the eight teams that continue their journey toward the trophy and secure qualification for the quarterfinal stage.

Tirana, Dinamo City, Partizani, Bylis, Teuta, Vllaznia, Egnatia and AF Elbasani are the teams that have qualified for the Albanian Cup quarterfinals.

All Round of 16 matches were played today. In the 13:00 fixtures, Dinamo City and Partizani secured qualification without difficulty, both winning 3–0. Dinamo City defeated Besa, while Partizani overcame Burreli.

The matches between Tirana and Skënderbeu, as well as Bylis and Laçi, were decided only after extra time, as the 90 minutes of regular time ended in draws. Tirana scored the decisive goal in extra time to win 2–1 and advance. Bylis also found the winning goal in extra time, claiming a 3–2 victory to move on.

In the 16:00 matches, Egnatia defeated Apolonia 1–0, while Vllaznia won by the same score against Pogradeci. Teuta beat Vora 2–0, while the clash between AF Elbasani and Flamurtari went to extra time after a 1–1 draw in regular time.

Elbasani’s yellow-and-blues scored the decisive goal in extra time, winning 2–1 and securing qualification for the quarterfinals.

According to the competition regulations, the pots for the quarterfinal draw of the Albanian Cup have also been determined.

Pot 1 includes Egnatia, Vllaznia, Partizani and Dinamo City. Pot 2 consists of AF Elbasani, Teuta, Bylis and Tirana.

The quarterfinal pairings will be determined through a free draw among the eight qualified teams. This stage will be played over two legs, with the first matches hosted by the teams placed in Pot 2.

In the coming days, the date and time of the quarterfinal draw for the Albanian Cup will be announced.
