Albanian football infrastructure improves significantly at the beginning of 2025, with work continuing at a high pace

The year 2025 has started very well for the infrastructure of Albanian football, with significant investments from the Football Federation. In the first two months of the year, two new fields have been completed: one in the Parish of Shna Prenda in Juban, Shkodër, and the other in the annex of the “Skënderbeu” stadium in Korçë. Additionally, the complete reconstruction of the “Egnatia Arena” stadium has been completed, including the installation of a modern lighting system, a perimeter LED screen, and improvements in the stands, such as the installation of new seats and other infrastructure enhancements.

Work continues at a high pace in several cities across the country to modernize football infrastructure. At the “House of Football,” two new fields are being built, which will be added to the existing fields used for matches and training sessions of the national teams. Likewise, in Shtoj, Shkodër, a modern artificial turf field is nearing completion.

Meanwhile, in Elbasan, work has begun on the reconstruction of a natural grass field in the “Shefqet Lamçja” sports complex, while in Gjirokastër, work is expected to start on two new fields following the complete reconstruction of the field at the “Luftëtari” stadium.

In the coming weeks, other infrastructure projects are expected to be implemented in several cities across the country, continuing the improvement and further development of conditions for Albanian football.
