Albanian Women’s Cup: Four Semifinalist Teams Determined for the 16th Edition

Apolonia, Egnatia, Tirana, and Kinostudio are the four semifinalist teams in the 16th edition of the Albanian Women’s Cup. In a completely new format, the teams were divided into three groups based on their rankings in the first phase of the championship. The last three matches in each group were played over the weekend and today, determining the semifinalists.

Apolonia secured a spot in the semifinals by finishing first in Group A. Despite having the same points as Partizani and Gramshi, the team from Fier advanced thanks to a superior goal difference. In today’s match, Partizani defeated Apolonia 4-3, but the victory was not enough for the Reds to progress.

Egnatia qualified for the semifinals by finishing first in Group B with 6 points. Kinostudio placed second with 3 points, while Laçi finished last with 0 points.

Similarly, Tirana secured a place in the last four, finishing first in Group C with 6 points. Lushnja and Teuta shared second and third place with 1 point each.

Kinostudio also advanced to the semifinals as the best second-placed team across all groups, thanks to a superior goal difference.

The semifinal matchups will be determined through an open draw among the four qualified teams. The matches will be played in a home-and-away format.
