Greece has not found calm from earthquakes. The week that is ending recorded dozens of strong seismic tremors, with epicenters ranging from the western part of the Ionian coast to the southern area, the island of Crete.
Another earthquake, this time stronger than the previous ones, was recorded this morning (February 8) in Crete.
According to experts, the tremor had a magnitude of 4.8, with the epicenter off the coast of Crete.
“Protothema” reports that the epicenter was 44 kilometers west of Paleochora, Chania, while the focal depth was estimated at 27 kilometers, according to the Automatic Solution of the Geodynamic Institute.
There are no reports of damage or injuries, but the impact is described as moderately strong.
