SSACOC has seized the phone of sports analyst and journalist Fatmir Mëneri, while the Special Court has rejected his request for its return, stating that investigations are still ongoing.

Media outlets report that in yesterday’s hearing, Mëneri’s criminal request to have the seized item, a mobile phone, returned was dismissed.

In order to gather evidence within criminal case number 136, which is linked to former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, the National Bureau of Investigation (BKH) and SPAK have also confiscated the journalist’s phone.

It is still unclear what his connection is to this case. Meanwhile, SSACOC has also issued a second summons for footballer Igli Tare and is awaiting his arrival from Italy to question him.
