BREAKING NEWS / 29-year-old man goes berserk in Korçë, grabs a knife and threatens employees of the Social Care Directorate

Crime Investigation specialists of the Korçë Police Commissariat arrested in flagrante citizen Gj. L., 29, resident of Korçë, after he threatened employees of the Social Care Directorate with a sharp object (knife) inside the institution’s premises, due to their official duties. The knife was seized as material evidence.

The Road Traffic Sector services also arrested in flagrante citizen S. H., 36, resident of Korçë, after being caught driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Additionally, materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against citizen A. B., 26, resident of Korçë, suspected of repeatedly harassing a 23-year-old via phone.

Following the information provided on January 19, 2026, regarding a physical conflict in Neighborhood No. 3, Pogradec, the suspected perpetrators of the incident have been identified.

Procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Korçë First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction for further action.
