Bylyre Jashari is one of the most distinguished artists, not only of the district but of all the southern regions.

The Nightingale of Kolonja and The Queen of the Sung Dance are two of the epithets by which she is known to everyone.

For more than 45 years, she has contributed to preserving, promoting, and passing on our cultural values.

From a young age, she sang polyphonic songs and, over the years, has won numerous awards at folklore festivals. Today, she is recognized everywhere as an ambassador of Kolonja’s tradition — not only in singing and dancing but also as an artist who recreates traditional Kolonja costumes.
