On this anniversary, we express our gratitude for your many years of contribution to medicine in Korçë and for the dedication with which you served your patients and community.

Born in Korçë on September 1, 1940, Dr. Kristaq Kërëku graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Tirana in 1962 and began working that same year as a sanitary inspector doctor at the Korçë Directorate of Health Services, a position he held until 1972.

He later served as a doctor in Lozhan, in the Gorë-Opar area, before returning to Korçë in 1974, where he joined the outpatient and emergency services.

It was precisely in the emergency department that he stood out as a precise, dedicated, and responsible clinician, where the work required a high level of professional expertise, strong diagnostic skills, and quick decision-making for every patient.

Always interested in the latest developments in medicine, he was distinguished by his professionalism and respectful approach toward patients and colleagues, as well as his devotion to his profession.

Affectionately known as “Kiçka,” Dr. Kristaqi continued to work with dedication until his retirement in 2006.

Happy Birthday, Dr. Kristaqi!

Wishing you health and many joyful moments!
