Crime: Albanian shoots the village chief over an erotic backstage dispute

A serious incident occurred in the village of Spathohori in Agrinio, Greece. A 44-year-old Albanian national shot a 51-year-old man, the father of a minor child, with a double-barreled firearm. The victim is suspected to have been the husband of the perpetrator’s lover.
According to sources, the victim was the village chief, but the crime is believed to have an erotic motive and is not related to his public duties. Authorities state that the conflict arose from the intimate relationship the perpetrator had with the victim’s wife.
The incident occurred after the perpetrator ambushed the victim, shooting him as he approached in his vehicle, killing him instantly. The victim’s car fell into a ravine and was later discovered by local residents.
A few hours after the crime, the perpetrator called the regional police and confessed to the act.
