Dishnicë / Over 60 firefighters continue efforts to extinguish blaze

More than 60 personnel from firefighting units, the forestry service, the army, and the local administrative unit have been on the ground since 5:00 a.m., working to extinguish a wildfire in the village of Dishnicë, in the Korçë municipality.

The teams are making every effort to open firebreaks and prevent the flames from spreading toward the area of Çardhak.

The mountainous and rugged terrain, combined with high temperatures and strong winds, is complicating the operation, but the forces remain fully committed to containing the fire.

Protecting forests and natural resources is a shared responsibility—maximum caution is essential!
