Albania will host the European Snooker Championship in 2025, a major sporting event that will take place in the city of Durrës. The news was announced by Prime Minister Edi Rama, who stated that the championship will be organized under the auspices of the European Billiard & Snooker Association (EBSA), with the support of the Albanian Federation of Billiards and Snooker.

The tournament will last for two weeks and will bring to Albania over 400 athletes from 38 different European countries. The competitions will include several disciplines, such as the 6 Red category, events for people with disabilities, women’s competitions, and men’s team events.

Hosting this championship represents a significant achievement for Albanian sport and a major step forward for the country on the international stage. It is expected to bring not only media and sporting attention but also contribute to promoting Albania as a serious destination for hosting high-level sports events.

This marks another important moment for Albania, as it aims to strengthen its international image and position itself as a welcoming venue for European-scale sporting events.
