EVENT/ Tragic d*ath of a 19-year-old after a night in a hotel with 3 young men, among them an Albanian

A tragic incident has shaken the island of Kefalonia in Greece, after a 19-year-old girl lost her life in the center of Argostoli. Greek media have revealed disturbing details about her final hours, while among those arrested is also a 22-year-old Albanian.

According to police sources, the young woman had spent the night in a hotel with three young men aged 23, 26, and 22. She had arrived there around midnight with the 23-year-old. Later, around 02:00, it is suspected that the group consumed cocaine, which was allegedly provided by the 26-year-old, a former weightlifter.

The latter had reportedly brought an additional quantity, returning to the hotel accompanied by the 22-year-old Albanian, who is said not to have used narcotic substances.

Around 03:00, the girl’s condition deteriorated significantly and she lost consciousness. According to testimonies, the three young men transported her outside the hotel and left her in the central square of Argostoli in an unconscious state, before leaving the scene.

Shortly afterward, emergency teams found her near a bar and rushed her to the hospital. Although she arrived with signs of life, she passed away at around 05:15 despite doctors’ efforts.

Security camera footage analyzed by police shows one of the young men carrying her in his arms, while the other two follow. Their identification was made possible through recordings from the hotel and surrounding areas.

The three young men are accused of abandonment in dangerous conditions resulting in fatal consequences and are expected to appear before the prosecution. Meanwhile, the victim’s body has been sent for an autopsy in Patras, with results expected to clarify the exact cause of death within two weeks.

A key role in the investigation is attributed to the 26-year-old, a former successful weightlifter with international medals, who had recently returned to Argostoli after a promising career.

The victim’s family is demanding justice and clarity regarding the circumstances of the incident. Her mother told Greek media that she had spoken with her daughter shortly before the event and was concerned about her company. According to her, one of the young men admitted via message that they had left the girl alone in serious condition.

Authorities continue investigations to fully clarify this tragic event and determine the legal responsibilities of each individual involved.
