Father and son fire a gun into the air to threaten their neighbor, arrested in the act

A 56-year-old man and his son have been arrested after firing firearms and hunting rifles into the air in Trush village, Shkodër, with the intent to threaten their neighbor. Meanwhile, the 56-year-old’s other son has been declared wanted.

Police report that two hunting rifles of the double-barrel type, legally possessed by the suspects, were seized as evidence.

According to the official statement, specialists from the Crime Investigation Unit of Shkodër Police, in cooperation with the General Patrol and the Special Force “Shqiponja,” organized operations immediately after receiving the report to clarify the incident and apprehend the suspects.

"As a result of rapid actions, citizens Ç.M., 56, and D.M., 22 (father and son), residents of Trush village, were caught in flagrante and arrested. Additionally, citizen E.M., 27, has been declared wanted," police said.

Preliminary investigations show that the three individuals fired weapons into the air near their home to threaten their neighbor, P.N., due to a minor conflict.

Procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Shkodër First Instance Court for further action.
