FIFA fines the Albanian Football Association! Here are the incidents in the match against England that led to the punishment

The Albanian Football Federation (FSHF) has been fined 2,250 Swiss francs for the throwing of objects by some fans during the match against England.

The match ended with a 2-0 victory for the visitors at “Air Albania,” while the Group K qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup also concluded. Despite the symbolic fine, AFF issued an official statement.

“Any isolated incident undermines our collective effort to rank among the best, not only on the field but also in the stands,” the statement reads.

AFF announces that FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee has imposed a fine of 2,250 Swiss francs in connection with the Albania – England match, due to the throwing of objects by some fans. Although this fine is smaller compared to the heavy sanctions from some previous matches, it remains a penalty for the Federation, the fans, the players, and everything that represents Albanian football. Our goal is clear: stadiums without any violations or incidents, a necessary standard to avoid penalties and to be among the most respected fan bases.

Proper behavior in stadiums must be consistent, both in domestic and international matches. Any isolated incident undermines our collective effort to rank among the best, not only on the field but also in the stands.
