FOOTBALL on break / Here’s when SKËNDERBEU returns to the pitch and when the first matches of 2026 will be played!

All teams have now started their winter break, while it should be noted that this period also coincides with the transfer window, as clubs are expected to make a few moves during this time.

Skënderbeu, the winter champion in the First Division, will continue with winter preparations over the next weeks, as the break is not very long.

On Saturday, January 10, 2026, the Korçë team will return to the field for the Albanian Cup match. According to the draw for the second round of the Albanian Cup, Skënderbeu will face Tirana in the capital, marking the start of the new year with this encounter.

Immediately after the Cup match, the league will resume, as the 18th week of the First Division officially starts on January 18, 2026, when Skënderbeu is scheduled to host Luftëtari at the “Skënderbeu” Stadium.

Also, in the second round of the Cup, Pogradeci will play on January 10 away against Vllaznia in Shkodër.
