HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the legendary goalkeeper Jani Kaçi

Today, we celebrate the birthday of the Colossus of the Korçë goal, one of the greatest goalkeepers Albanian football has ever known and one of the figures who elevated Korçë to the pinnacle of national sport, Jani Kaçi, “Master of Merit in Sport.”

Born in Korçë, he wrote an extraordinary history in goal for Skënderbeu, Partizani and the Albanian National Team, becoming a symbol of security, elegance and courage on the field.

With more than 300 championship appearances, memorable performances on the international stage and a modern style for his time, Jani Kaçi remains one of the undisputed legends of Albanian football.

He was not simply a goalkeeper. He was the unbreakable wall of the defense, a man whose reflexes, composure and character gave confidence to his teammates and pride to thousands of Korçë and Albanian fans.

But his contribution did not end with the conclusion of his sporting career. He devoted himself to educating new generations as a Physical Education teacher and continued to serve football as a coach of youth teams, helping shape new talents.

Today, on his birthday, we wish him health and extend our everlasting gratitude from Korçë for everything he has given to sport and to our city.

Happy birthday, Jani Kaçi, a name that will forever remain part of the history of Albanian sport.
