Here are the signatories of the initiative for changes to the Electoral Code

A group of civil society representatives has addressed the Central Election Commission, formally requesting the initiation of a procedure to collect signatures in support of an initiative aimed at changes to the Electoral Code.

The initiative, presented under the name “Citizen Action for Functional Democracy,” foresees the issuance of the relevant form by the CEC, which would enable the organizers to begin the process of gathering citizens’ signatures.

Among the representatives of this initiative are Andi Tepelena, Edlira Çepani, Rezarta Caushaj, Edmond Çata, Etleva Merko, Gerta Meta, Ilir Aliaj, Rigels Xhemollari, and Silvana Bello.

According to the submitted request, the initiative is also supported by former CEC chairman Kristaq Kume.

The proposal foresees a three-month deadline for collecting signatures, a period that would begin only after the Central Election Commission approves and issues the official form for the initiative’s organizers.
