On June 7, the highly anticipated match between Albania and Serbia, part of the World Cup qualifiers, will take place at the “Arena Kombëtare” in Tirana. The capital city has already started preparations to ensure the smooth running of this important event.
In Tirana, in the area surrounding the “Arena Kombëtare” stadium, the dismantling of all local businesses has begun. As seen in the photo below, shops have started removing their windows, as well as taking down awnings and chairs. These measures are being taken to avoid possible risks.
It is worth noting that over 1,500 police officers will be deployed to guarantee order from the arrival of both teams, with special attention on the Serbian squad, until their departure from Albanian territory. Special anti-terrorism units will also be present on site, and RENEA may be involved if necessary.
UEFA and the police have classified this match as one with very high risk.
