After completing the State Matura exams, high school graduates will enter the application phase for higher education studies. From July 27 to August 1, candidates will have the opportunity to complete the A2 form on the UALBANIA platform, where they can select up to 10 study programs according to their preferences.
The Director of the Albanian Academic Network, Arjan Xhelaj, has called on graduates to use this period to carefully analyze their options and rank their preferred programs based on their interests and chances of being admitted.
To complete the application, each graduate must make a payment of 2,000 lekë at a second-tier bank. Unlike previous years, this year introduces a new feature: the payment receipt can be uploaded online to the UALBANIA platform, eliminating the need for applicants to physically appear at the schools where they completed their secondary education.
Meanwhile, universities across the country have proposed 60 new study programs for the new academic year, expanding the options available to future students. However, high competition is expected for the most sought-after programs, and available places may be filled during the first admission round.
After winners are announced and students register in their respective programs, graduates will have the right to withdraw within two days at the end of each round if they wish to compete for a study program ranked higher on their preference list.
Authorities are urging all graduates to respect deadlines and carefully complete the A2 form, as the ranking of preferences is crucial in determining the study program where they will be admitted.
