Nevruz Nure (Lulushi)
Nevruz Nure, widely known by his stage name Lulushi, was born in Korçë on March 23, 1954, and passed away on April 23, 1990. He grew up in a family with strong musical traditions and showed rare talent for music from childhood, finding his true voice through the clarinet.
As a clarinetist, Lulushi became one of the most beloved figures on the music scene in Korçë and throughout Southeastern Albania. He was recognized for his virtuosic playing, pure intonation, and sweet melodies that evoked deep emotions in listeners.
His performances carried the spirit of Korçë.
For many years, Nevruz Nure was part of the “Skënderbeu” Ensemble of Korçë, performing in concerts both domestically and abroad. He also collaborated with saze ensembles and folk groups from different regions of Albania, leaving behind a valuable musical legacy.
One of his most famous performances is “Lulushi’s Kaba” (1983), considered one of the most representative pieces of his mastery and placing him among the most honored names in Albanian music.
Despite his short life, he left an indelible mark on the hearts of colleagues and the public.
In honor of his figure and contribution to urban music, the festival “LuluFEST” was created, bearing his name and aiming to keep alive the legacy of a true artist a clarinetist who transformed music into the language of the soul.
