Korçë Police: 54-year-old firefighter using his bar to sell cannabis arrested

Through proactive investigations and intensive inspections aimed at preventing and combating criminal activities in the field of narcotics, the police have concluded the operation code-named “Activity.”

A 54-year-old man was arrested for using the bar he managed to distribute narcotics.

During the operation, a quantity of suspected cannabis and a sum of money in the possession of the arrested man were seized.

Specialists from the Narcotics Investigation Section of DVP Korçë, in continuation of efforts to prevent and combat drug-related crimes, conducted proactive investigations and successfully intercepted a case of drug sales.

As part of the police operation “Activity,” L.S., 54, a resident of Pogradec and a firefighter at the Pogradec municipality, was arrested in flagrante delicto.

During the search of the bar he managed in Neighborhood No. 1, Pogradec, police found a quantity of narcotics, some already divided into doses ready for sale, a sum of money suspected to be obtained from this activity, and two mobile phones, all of which were seized as evidence.

Procedural materials have been referred to the Korçë Prosecutor’s Office for further legal action.
