Koço Qëndro, the well-known actor of the Korçë theatre “Andon Zako Çajupi”, just a week before passing away, left a final wish to one of his sons that his body should not be taken for public tributes in the theatre hall, a wish that all three sons were obliged to respect.

In this theatre, actor Koço Qëndro spent most of his life performing on stage, bringing many roles to life, including his leading role as Harpagon in the comedy *The Miser*, a role he reprised on this stage and elsewhere even at the age of 93.

Qëndro did not explain the reasons behind his final wish, but based on what he had stated in various media interviews, it is believed that this request may also have been influenced by feelings of lack of recognition as a 99-year-old actor receiving a standard pension.

The final farewell to the well-known actor in Korçë will take place at one of the city’s funeral agencies.
