Who is the English teacher who was dismissed after preaching religion to primary school students at Gustav Mayer School in Tirana?

It is reported that the teacher has no phone or direct means of communication, but according to online profiles created many years ago, Dritan Zaimi appears as a figure with academic training in foreign languages and a parallel literary activity.

Dritan Zaimi was born on May 5, 1975, in Gramsh.

He completed high school at the Foreign Languages School in Tirana in 1993 and graduated in 1997 as an English language teacher from the University of Tirana.

On virtual websites, he is presented as having started writing poetry at a very young age. In 2001, he published his first poetry collection, *Dhimbja* (“The Pain”).

In his literary work, there is a strong presence of philosophical and spiritual themes, using symbols related to life and death. The poems published online reveal an author reflecting on the human relationship with the sacred.

During lessons with students, he showed videos about God and assigned tasks based on the religious teachings believed to represent Jehovah’s Witnesses. In one of his poems, he wrote:

“That which we do not understand, we call foolish. That which does not understand us, again we call foolish.”
