The first day of school for students this year will be different from previous years. On September 14, there will be no regular lessons in classrooms. Instead, the day will be dedicated to informing and orienting students about school rules, the school environment, the curriculum, and the activities planned to take place after regular classes.

The announcement was made by Education Minister Mirela Kumbaro, who said in a social media post that the purpose of the day is to turn the emotions of the first day into beautiful memories that foster a love for school and learning.

“Getting ready for the first day. School is welcoming us. The First Day of School is always a whirlwind of emotions, filled with a racing heart, curiosity, challenges, and questions about the new world that lies ahead for every child and every student. Therefore, this new school year, through an instruction from the Ministry of Education, the first day will include activities that introduce students to the school facilities, their classmates, friends, and teachers, as well as the wonderful things they will do throughout the year through the ‘After School’ program. The aim is to turn the emotions of this day into beautiful memories that foster a love for school and learning,” Kumbaro wrote.
