Paradox in Korça: The houses exist, but the village does not

A few days ago, the TV Klan program Stop aired the case of a citizen from Porodinë, who complained that his old house is not being legalized, while a new building constructed in 2013 has already received a legalization permit.

The citizen, Rushit Myrtollari, explained that measurements for both properties were carried out in 2024, but he was informed that the old building does not appear in the system.

According to a 2021 response from the Korçë Cadastre Directorate, the citizen does not have legal ownership documents for the old building and its corresponding plot. Additionally, for the village of Porodinë, the “list 001” of lands and houses does not exist, which has blocked the continuation of the legalization procedure.

After the program’s inquiry, the Cadastre clarified that because the village had not previously been confirmed by the former commune, the standard procedure for the land list could not be followed.

*Stop* returned to Korçë and found that the official request had been sent in December, but a clerical error by a lawyer had occurred. Instead of being sent for confirmation to the Bulgarec administrative unit, where the citizen resides, it was mistakenly sent to Vithkuq.

Furthermore, the Vithkuq unit has not provided a response to clarify that the citizen does not belong to that administrative unit.
