Activist Evi Kokalari has criticized DP leader Sali Berisha over the 1.4 million euros (1.6 million dollars) spent by the Democratic Party to pay for American consultancy services for the May 11 campaign.

In a social media post, Kokalari also referenced a $6 million lobbying contract with “Continental Strategy,” signed by Flamur Noka and Carlo Trujillo, president of the American company and former chief of staff for Marco Rubio.

Kokalari argues that such sums are not even spent on congressional campaigns in the U.S., highlighting that Chris LaCivita, the consultant paid by PD, raised $2 million for a congressman in Kentucky through the MAGA PAC he directs.

She describes the DP expenditures as unjustifiable for “a simple doctor of the communist regime” like Berisha, who has allegedly held the opposition hostage for years. Kokalari adds that these spending patterns clearly indicate corruption and mentions Berisha’s family wealth.

“1.6 million dollars for LaCivita and Manafort + 6 million for Rubio’s former chief of staff = 7.6 million dollars!! And we’re supposed to believe you’re not corrupt?

This amount is massive even for candidates in U.S. congressional races. For example, LaCivita runs a MAGA PAC that raised $2 million to challenge Republican Thomas Massie in Kentucky, who consistently votes against Trump. Those funds were collected because Trump personally called wealthy donors who are his friends, but you… you, the simple doctor of the communist regime, who has held the opposition hostage for 34 years, you who don’t even blink when claiming your wealth grew from a small apartment to one 50m² larger and forget to mention your family owns four other apartments in the same building… you personally pay $7.6 million and don’t bat an eye.

Honestly, I feel more sorry for those who sat for days on 'Rruga e Shpresës' protesting ‘the injustice of your house arrest by SPAC,’ because only a corrupt person does that you are not.

And you have the audacity to call SPAC a criminal organization?!

You continue to mock this people massively and fail to understand that you, Meta, and Rama will all end up spending your days in prison.

DON’T MISTAKE THIS!” Kokalari wrote.
