Last month, the name of moderator and former Big Brother VIP Albania contestant, Meriton Mjekiqi, was widely reported in the media following his arrest over a physical altercation in which the victim suffered serious bodily injuries.

Today, August 19, 2025, Mjekiqi reacted for the first time since being released from custody. Through a post on his Instagram Story, he informed the public, friends, and family about the court’s decision.

“With respect, I want to inform you that I have been released from the arrest measure under which I was being held. I thank my lawyers for their professionalism and dedication throughout this period.

Thank you all for your patience, understanding, and support,” he wrote.

In the post, Mjekiqi appears alongside his lawyers, delivering a message of gratitude to everyone who supported him during this time.
