POLICE / In Vreshtas, a 45-year-old man assaults his wife. Multiple incidents reported in Korça. Here’s what happened!

The services of the Korçë Police Station arrested the following citizens in flagrante delicto:

D. Z., 45 years old, resident of Vreshtas village, suspected of physically assaulting his wife, who has been issued a protection order.

Sh. B., 58 years old, resident of Kakaç village; and initiated proceedings in a state of freedom against R. F., 71 years old, also from Kakaç village, as these individuals allegedly had a conflict over minor reasons. During the conflict, the 58-year-old reportedly struck the 71-year-old with a hard object on the head; the 71-year-old is receiving treatment at the Trauma Hospital and is out of life-threatening danger, while the 71-year-old also struck Sh. B., causing minor injuries.

Specialists from the Road Traffic Sector arrested in flagrante delicto Y. Xh., 37 years old, resident of Barçanj village, for driving without a license.

Specialists from the Narcotics Investigation Sector referred materials to the Prosecutor’s Office, initiating criminal proceedings against K. Gj., 18 years old, after a search by the Special Force “Shqiponja” uncovered and seized a quantity of suspected cannabis sativa.

The Korçë Police Station referred materials to the Prosecutor’s Office to initiate criminal proceedings against A. B., 53 years old, resident of Bulgarec village, after a search revealed and seized a cutting tool (knife).

On October 24, 2025, citizen Gj. Th., 64 years old, resident of Korçë, reported to the Korçë Police Station that the glass of his house door had been damaged. Efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend the perpetrator(s).

Procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Korçë for further action.
